Hi kids!

I’m blogging while laying in bed…. not exactly feeling my best today! I’ve been feeling under the weather the past few days, lost my voice at a wedding last night (which was a blast regardless of the fact that I didn’t feel good)… and woke up this morning feeling T.E.R.R.I.B.L.E.

Apparently having a couple glasses of wine, dancing all night, and yelling over the loud music was NOT a good way to make my body feel better.  I’m feeling the symptoms that usually means a bout of bronchitis may be on the horizon if I don’t take good care of myself… so I’m gonna take the day off blogging to rest.

In the meantime, while I alternate between napping and reading OTHER blogs (which is so much less strenous than making my brain think enough to write a post on my own blog, haha), I wanted to remind you to keep entering my Vegetarian Times giveaway, here! I love the great response I’ve had, and I appreciate everyone who retweeted the post.  I will announce the winner tomorrow!

  1. Feel better! I recommend veggie broth simmered with ginger, garlic, and chili peppers. It really helps the throat and sinuses!

  2. aww- sick pup!!!! I feel ya, darlin’! Just lay low and do what I didn’t do- take the day off work. You need it. It took me sooo long to get better because I kept going.
    I’ll write a good race report to keep you entertained while reading blogs in bed!

  4. Hope you’re feeling better! I’m in the Chicago area too and ran the 1/2 marathon a few years back. I’d love to run the full but it requires so much time! It’s only a couple more weeks for you – keep up the great training!

  5. You definitely need to rest and get yourself better before you get worse. Take the day off tomorrow (unless maybe you have it off for the jewish holiday?). I know us girls who work at schools love to go in sick but don’t do it!
