Celebrities who have ran the marathon
October 12, 2009
“It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done.” ~ Lance Armstrong, seven time Tour de France winner on running a marathon.
As if it isn’t humbling enough to know that less than 1% of all people ever run a marathon in their lifetime, this quote from THE athlete of all athletes pretty much solidifies to me what I’ve known since running my first marathon two years ago – that running a marathon is tough business!!!
I truly believe that completing a marathon at any time is an enormous accomplishment. However, I still think it’s fun to note the times for celebs who have attempted to run The Distance. I remember reading in the tabloids that Katie Holmes trained for her ’07 marathon the same way that I did – by blasting Kanye’s “Stronger” on repeat – so it was cool to know that my marathon finishing time kicked hers to the curb

Also, it seems like it was cold that day.
