Hi friends!  So sorry that I haven’t been posting as much as usual…. work has been overwhelming, to say the least.  Chicago Public Schools made the national news today due to our $975 million deficit… yes you read that right, $975 million…. so everyone is feeling the pressure at the moment!  But that’s ok, I’m just happy to have such an awesome, fulfilling job and while it can be stressful at times, I’m grateful to be in a position that lets me work with really great kids!

But to be quite honest, instead of spending the next hour uploading recent photos and writing up recipe posts, I’m going to go order Indian food, drink some chilled Reisling, and watch a Netflix movie with Mike. But rest assured that this is what you have in store for you in the near future:

how do i relax…hmmm…lots of crappy tv is involved for sure. also, i recently took up knitting, which has been nice and therapeutic. also a crossword and a cup of coffee is a combo that rivals heaven in my opinion…
